BOBBI BROWN SHIMMER BRICK COMPACT REVIEW

Hello Everyone,

I am so pretty excited to know that finally Bobbi Brown has opened its first store in Mumbai at Palladium mall. And my first visit to it was simply amazing. This is my first buy from that store and it was none other then their one of the best selling products which is Shimmer Brick compact in Pink Quartz. It has almost 6 types of different shades like in Bronze, Nectar, Beige, Rose etc.. and few of them were already running out of stock. Well i was lucky enough to get Pink Quartz. Okay for all those who don’t know what shimmer brick Compacts are and how they are used as i would like to give a brief idea.

They come in glossy black plastic compact in square shape having 5 strips of shimmer powder. The case is light in weight and looks elegant having a mirror on one side. You can use single color strip as eyeshadow or whole together as blush or highlighter. They look like pressed mineralise powders and are very smooth in texture. They are best known for highlighters.

They have very tiny shimmer particles which just give a perfect sheen to your cheeks. The shade I have picked up goes with almost all blush when used as highlighter. It has got pale pink, brown ,beige, frosty pink, nude almost all colors from brown to pink and so i loved this compact. Pink quartz is also not so pigmented and so I love using them over a blush they are just sheer giving you a right amount of glow. You can always build this product as you desire. It blends beautifully in skin. The product does not fade on even after 6-7 hrs. Love the way it lasted for so long.

I think this highlighter will compliment every skin tone.You can even use it on daily bases without any blush by just applying little on your cheekbones forehead and nose. I love this brand and this product is absolutely must have for getting that warm pink glow in summer.

I also loved bronze in this range for medium to deep tones. Recommended!!

How to Use

Sweep the Face Blender Brush (sold separately) through all five shades of the Shimmer Brick Compact and dust lightly on cheekbones after Blush. Focus on applying shimmer on the top of cheekbones—where light naturally hits the face—for the most flattering look.

NEW Maybelline Colossal Kohl Crushed Emerald Jewelled Jade Smoked Silver Review

Hello Beauty lovers,

So today I am reviewing a product from Maybelline Colossal range. To my surprise maybelline has come up with 3 different Colors in Colossal Kohl. We all are familiar with the black colossal kohl and then the turquoise one now here comes other 3 shades in this same range. It comes in the same old yellow twist up packaging with just a plastic seal over it. Now its no more just black colossal kohl its also in 3 new shades which are Crushed Emerald, Smoked Silver & Jewelled Jade. So this summer you don’t need to stick to your black kohls but you can apply all this color kohls to make your eyes look bright. All those who love Maybelline colossal kohl will love this one too.

I have picked up all 3 colors and they all are really soft smooth on application.

They just glide on so easily without hurting my lids at all.

Smoked silver is a my favorite pick as it’s a greyish silver having blue undertone with little shimmer almost not visible looks amazing when applied on both upper as well as lower lashline.

Crushed Emerald is a beautiful deep green color and has little shimmer in it.

Jewelled Jade is a perfect peacock blue color which is very different from turquoise blue having little shimmer in it.

I loved using smoked silver most it looks lovely on my brown eyes. All colors are wearable as they are not to bright and can go well with every skin tone. I loved the texture and all are pigmented but to get the maximum opacity I had to swipe couple of times.

Does not irritate my eyes even wen applied on waterline. Its a Waterproof and Smudgeproof pencil. It claims to stay on for 12 hrs without fading which is false. I had applied on upper as well as lower lash line and it stayed for almost 6-7 hrs. After 6 hrs it started to smudge on lower lash line it was more with green and blue color kohl. No Ingredients are mentioned on the pencil but they contain Vitamin e which is soothing for eyes.

I also liked that this green pencil did not leave any black stain behind which generally deep green pencils do have. I am also not fan of twist up pencils as they don't give intense colors and also tend to break off easily when swiping it several times but this are really soft and don't break even while applying with pressure and they also give me intense color.

Overall recommended to all maybelline colossal lovers and those who are bored of using black kohl if you want to add some color kohl for this summer then this are the one available easily and at affordable prices. This pencils are not at all disappointing except i wished it lasted more longer. Yes i would definitely buy this pencils again.

Colorbar Deep Matte Lip Creme in Deep Blush Review

I was recently checking out for new lip products and I found out colorbar has recently launched deep matte lip creme. By now you all must be knowing I prefer matt over gloss and I love matt lipsticks. I love NYX matt lip cream and stila all day liquid lipstick I just enjoy using them. And now I have got similar product in india I got to try many shades in this new launched collection and they all were super intense and gorgeous colors but I loved this coral pink shade a lot which was named as Deep Blush pretty name. This matt lip creme come in a transparent fat tube with silver cap. It also has doe foot applicator and color of lipgloss is visible through transparent tube.

I loved the color its more of bright pink coral shade it can go on well with warm and cool tones both and it can look best on fair skin tones. There is no shimmer or sparkles in it and no smell. I think it’s a beautiful color to wear in spring. On application it has got most creamiest and smooth texture. Glides on easily but does not give even application i had to reapply it. The color is same as it appears in tube bright and intense . You don’t require lipbalm as it already has creamy texture. More then gloss I found it to be like liquid lipsticks which does not make lips feel drier but at the same time also gives matt finish to lips. Color payoff is excellent and it gives opaque rich color to even pigmented lips. Once It dries of it does not smudge and it lasts around 8 hrs including meals. It does bleed and also leaves pink stain behind. You have to be careful in application as it can get lot of product and will take time to dry out. It does not have any hydrating or moisturising properties.

Its not highly priced.

You can build this color up by starting with little product and can go as bold bright you want. It also made my lip appear fuller. One swipe is enough for getting a perfect color. You have to be careful in application as it can get little messy. Overall I loved the product as well as color its bright intense bold color. if you are looking for some bright creamy matt lip colors for spring this can be good to buy.

Maybelline The Colossal Liner in Black Review

This is a latest product from Maybelline The Colossal Liner which I got to purchase online. We all have tried maybelline colossal kajal and it was really a successful product in India. So I thought of trying out NEW Maybelline colossal liner. It comes in yellow black packaging like colossal kajal but here it’s a black tube with writing in yellow. I absolutely loved the packaging it doesn't look cheap and its quite sturdy. Travel friendly packaging. I am already using l’oreal super liner which I had got from my recent abroad trip its super thin black liner i absolutely loved using it and so i was hoping to find such liner here. Thanks to Maybelline for this product which they recently launched in india I just couldn't wait to try it.

To my surprise Maybelline colossal liner is super jet black liner having thin precision tip. The color payoff is excellent . I loved everything about this liner and it has become my current favourite . On application its intense black and dries of immediately does not smudge. It does not give you streaks or lines after application. The applicator is thin slender giving a precise application I love doing cat eyes or wing liner with this flexi tip liner. The tip of liner 0.4mm flexi tip which just eases the application of eyeliner you can go for thin or thick liner as you want. Generally its difficult for application of liners on inner corners. But this makes it easy to extend my liner on inner corners to give Cleopatra like look. Its very smooth on application and not required to swipe more then once. It also helps in quick application of liner without any errors. It claims to lasts for 12hrs long. I have got oily eyelid and this stayed on for long time almost 8-10 hrs which was fabulous. It’s a waterproof liner and does not fade. Gives matt finish to liner. It does not flake. This product is worth the price. Generally liquid liners cant be applied on lower lid but this one is different it can be applied easily on lower lids without irritating eyes.
It has turned out to be one of the best liners for me. It gives me as good intensity as kajal.
It’s a Must have product in your vanity kit. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
