L’Oreal had launched this infallible lip paints in lacquer finish around last year I
was waiting to get them..and now when finally L’Oreal brought us the Matte finish in lip paint range I wanted to try both.
Also there were some of the new nude shades which were latest addition to matte range.
So I picked up 2 of the matte lip paint and one of the lacquer lip
paint the shades are HOLLYWOOD BEIGE , NUDE-IST for matte and DARLING PINK from lacquer range.
I will be reviewing Infallible Matte lip paint first this lipsticks
come in a tube packaging with a applicator .The applicator has a slant sponge tip for a perfect application to the contour of lips. The matte collection has
soft mousse like texture the formula is quite creamy which sets to semi matte
finish.
But I loved the non drying formula giving complete opacity in
single swipe. I don’t recommend for more than 1-2 swipes as it gets little
tacky. The formula is thicker than expected so you have to be careful you don’t
over apply it.
It stays well for 5-6 hrs but it does transfer and with every
meal or drink it starts fading away. The formula doesn’t settle into fine lines nor
does it accentuate them. There is no feathering of the product. This formula
can cling to dry patches so do exfoliate your lips for flawless application. There
is no caking or flaking of the formula.
HOLLYWOOD BEIGE is a everyday peachy nude shade suitable for
fair skin tone for darker skin tones it can look little washed out.
NUDE-IST. It’s a very different kind of shade more like warm purple nude It looks really new for
me as I am not use to applying this kind of shades.
COMING to lacquer lip paint If you want something more of a glossy finish you can go for lacquer. They transfer easily but stays well for 4-5 hrs leaving behind a stain.
The formula is quite saturated with the pigments gives
opacity with one swipe I like the shades in this range. Also they give a glossy
finish with thicker formula. You don’t need to prep your lips as it doesn’t
accentuate fine lines OR dry patches. It makes my lips look more plumper. The formula has same
fragrance like the matte ones. It does give little stingy or heat sensation on
lips after application but that goes away in few mins. The formula is wearable
and I guess comfortable for long hrs. Also its not sticky or tacky no
feathering of the product is noticed. If you like something like gloss but with
high color pay off you can opt for lacquer.
Overall I wouldn’t like them wearing all the time because of
the intense fragrance also the texture is quite thicker than the usual liquid
lipsticks. But at the same time I loved the shades and tear drop applicator which gives better application. The formula makes my lip look more plumper.
