COLOURPOP ELECTRIC SLIDE SUPER SHOCK CHEEK HIGHLIGHTER REVIEW

Hope you all are doing well. I was actually about to talk about Maybelline Fit Me blush range but some how today..I landed up reviewing one of my latest Highlighters from ColourPop Cosmetics. If you are on instagram you must be knowing about ColourPop Cosmetics. And if you are new to this brand let me tell you they have got amazing range of eyeshadows, gel liners, blushes and lipsticks. This is going to be my first product review from Colour Pop cosmetics so i was pretty excited. They have got this Super Shock Cheek highlighter in Electric Slide which is almost like a true gold pearly pigmented highlighter and Fanny Pack which is a icy silver pearly highlighter. I always love golden glow so i picked up ELECTRIC SLIDE

I absolutely loved ColourPop packaging every product comes in a white color box this highlighter comes in a round white plastic jar with a lid which is like twist open kind. It’s a pressed pigment but on touch it feels almost like a soft creamy smooth powder. It gives lot of sheen to cheeks. And can be used over your foundation. It blends easily on cheeks it has got super pigmentation. You can also use them as eye shadow. I am totally impressed with the formula they are highly pigmented with complete opacity and you need very little quantity to highlight the areas. It’s a pearly gold highlighter so it will go on almost every skin ones. It gives a warm golden glow to face. You can use them for parties weddings and many other occasions. You can build the coverage from semi sheer to opaque. Sometimes I just use my finger for application and if needed later on I may just blend little with my duo fibre brush.

Overall I loved this product it was not like a creamy highlighter but the texture definitely made me feel that. So girlls having oily skin can also try them out. It stayed for almost 8- 10 hrs.

ColourPop has beautiful range of products they are at reasonable price with much great range of lipsticks and eye shadows. Moreover all products are super pigmented. I have got some more products too will be soon sharing my reviews on it. You need to keep jar closed after having used as they say you can loose the pearl effect of highlighter. You can give intense look or sheer as you desired. For me finger gives highest coverage but you can go sheer with using flat foundation brush or duo fiber brush for air brushed effect. This highlighter is totally different from the one I was using like Mary Lou Manizer from the balm cosmetics or mac whisper of guilt. MAYBELLINE LIP GRADATION BY COLOR SENSATIONAL REVIEW SWATCHES

Are you excited for the weekend? Well if you are not then I have something exciting for you all. Yes its all about makeup and the most amazing makeup store Sephora which is going to launch in Mumbai by next week. I had no words when I first saw the poster of Sephora opening in Mumbai which was almost a month ago and so gals if you are from Mumbai and makeup lovers like me get excited to shop from Sephora.

I will be posting about it soon on my blog. For now I have something new from Maybelline this are Lip Gradation by Color Sensational. When I first saw the poster I felt like they are quite similar to color blur in USA. But then i found out they are just named differently and launched here. They have 8 shades each costing 500/-INR. They have also introduced SuperStay 7 days gel nail color along with Lip Gradation range.

The shade names are FUCHSIA1, CORAL1, PINK1, PINK2, ORANGE 1, RED1, RED2, MAUVE 1

Product Description:
Available in 8 bright, matte shades, this double-sided lip product will inspire you to experiment with your looks and bring out your unique style and personality. The color stick at one end will give a gorgeous pop of color while the cushion blender tool at the other end will give a sexy, graded look. For a complete trend-on look, apply color on the center of your upper lip and use the sponge smudger to extend the color to the outer edges till the contours of your lips or use it as a matte lip color or a lip liner.

I picked up 3 shades which are CORAL, PINK2 and FUCHSIA1.

They are almost look like lip crayons. The packaging is bright and colourful. It has a lip crayon on one side and other side it has a smudger. The smudger is white in color an almost feels like cushion its soft and flexible. This lip crayons are retractable. No mess with sharpening. You can easily identify color without having to open them. The smudger is good enough to give a blurred effect.

Pink2 it’s almost similar to mac all fired up deep magenta pink will go on all skin tones.

Coral1 is bright peachy coral shade which is great for fair to medium skin tones.

Fuchsia1 one of my favorite color from this range it’s a bright pink with purple and blue tones. Will go on every skin tone. This lipsticks are inspired by Korean ombre lip trend. You just need to apply lipstick on centre of your lips and den blur it off using a smudger towards lip line. This will give you a color gradation effect.

This lipstick are super matte. On application the texture is soft and glides effortlessly on lips. They are highly pigmented and gives full coverage with one swipe. You can even use them as lip pencils or to fill up the lips. They have totally matte finish so you need to exfoliate your lips and moisturise before its application. It has non drying formula. Doesn’t transfer much. It doesn’t contain any fragrance. They stay on well for 5-6 hrs but with meals you need to have touch up. It can be used by pigmented lips too. The formula is unique and blends in well when you want ombre lip effect. This lipsticks don’t bleed. Very easy to remove it doesn’t accentuate fine lines. But if you have Dry patches on lips it can make it look really bad. It applies evenly and defines lip line.

Overall I liked the product if you want to try ombre lip effect which is like on going trend you can get them. The shades were common nothing new to pick up except for fuchsia or coral. The formula texture of this lip crayons are petty good. Quantity is much less compared to other brands but for 500/- I think it can make it worth. All I would say that its bold bright super pigmented lip crayons to give you unique style and sexy look at same time.

GERARD COSMETICS NEW HYDRA MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK REVIEW

I am so excited finally after almost 20-25 days I received my parcel from GERARD cosmetics. I had ordered this New Hydra Matte liquid lipstick. This lipsticks are so popular all over Instagram that I wanted them so badly. I think almost every single makeup company have liquid matte lipstick range and so does GERARD COSMETICS have also introduced this range. Gerard cosmetic is known for their lipsticks. Liquid lipsticks can be bit tricky to apply so you need to have right formula and texture to make it more comfortable on lips. Lets talk about this Hydra Matte Lipsticks packaging. They never use to have this box packaging so packaging wise they have improved a lot this lipsticks come In matte frosted glass tubes with gold metallic cap. They are similar to any other gloss tubes. I have got three shades which are SERENITY, BALLET SLIPPER & CHER.

The hydra mattes are liquidy and they apply evenly on lips. This lipstick take some time to dry completely. Once it sets in it gives a complete matte finish almost like a powdery matte finish. They don’t feel tacky on lips the texture is smooth and feels feather light on lips. They are not drying as most of liquid lipsticks tend to feel. Hydra mattes are quite comfortable and I feel they have a very thin watery consistency which helps in keeping it extremely light. This lipsticks are transfer proof and they are quite long lasting. Even with meals in between it lasted on my lips for whole day. Pigmentation is excellent. A shade like ballet slipper was lacking that opacity and was not able to give me complete coverage while serenity and CHER were completely opaque in just one swipe. You can build the color but only after the first application gets dry. They do accentuate fine lines on lips but thats common with almost every matte liquid lipsticks. They don’t budge or smudge as they turn out to be completely matte. It doesn't stain and easily comes of with makeup remover. It’s a waterproof lipstick so don’t try and remove with water. Do exfoliate and moisturise your lips before application. It claims to give hydration to lips which seems to be not so true.

Overall recommended if you are looking for good matte liquid lipsticks having really great formula and texture. I am not new to this brand I have been using GERARD cosmetics lipsticks for quite a time and they have good quality and shade range. This shades are quite different and unique from other brands. They retail for 20$ each which may seem bit expensive but they do have different discount codes and bundles with free shipping. I forgot about how they smell ..it smells delicious almost feels like having some cupcakes. So girls if you really like something matte and liquidy you can try them on.

Serenity- It’s a warm nude shade having hint of pink and brown. This is one of my favorite among all other shades. It will go on fair to medium skin tones like a everyday color.

Ballet Slipper – It’s a perfect like some pink ballerinas. Its a elegant pink which can look gorgeous on every day basis. It doesn’t give even application like serenity though you can use you fingers to spread evenly. Again this shade may go well on fair, tanned to dusky skin tones.

Cher- CHER is 90's color Rosy brown shade. This is something I have never tried and I never had such shade and I loved it. You can really experiment with this shade. It can work on many skin tones
