TOO FACED SEMI SWEET CHOCOLATE PALETTE REVIEW SWATCHES

Hello sweeties,
I Finally got my Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette which is a recent addition to too the original Too Faced chocolate Bar Palette..

This palette has 16 eye shadows packed in most attractive chocolate tin box packaging. I haven’t used the original chocolate palette but i got hand my hand on semi sweet and i absolutely adore it.

It has big size mirror inside. This eyeshades smell delicious and they just tempt you well the smell doesn't last forever still i love them. All the shade names are related to chocolate which is lovely. I liked the way whole packaging is done it makes you feel you bought a chocolate bar.

Most of the eye shadow in palette are pigmented soft and buttery. Few are on sheer and on drier side which was little disappointing. Almost all apply evenly on eyes. There are few mattes and few shimmery eye shadows. I loved how pigmented they are. Shimmery eye shadows are very finely milled so they don't give chunks of sparkle its easy to blend.

This palate is all about warm brown to deep brown shades having some highlighter shades too. I think most of the skin tones can carry this eye shadow pretty well. You can even use this eye shadows with wet brush to add intensity or you can just apply dry . Staying power is for 8 hrs and they don’t smudge or give any fall out. Well I like to use them over my MAC painterly pot so my eyeshadow stay pretty long and give me better color.They have all the shades name written on back of the box and they are also on the palette above individual eyeshade pan.

Here are the shades

Licorice- Matte black with good color pay off.

Coconut cream- matte cream with yellow tones good color pay off.

Nougat – Light Peachy brown warm undertones having less color pay off you have to build this color for opacity. Its almost like a base color on my skin tone barely could see the color.

Truffled- Medium brown with warm tones with good color pay off .

Hot fudge- Shimmery dark brown with excellent color pay off. Very soft buttery does not need over layering.

Cocoa Chili- Dark brown with gold sparkles. It’s a matte eye shadow giving good color pay off.

Pink Sugar- Shimmery pink very sheer and doesn’t transfer on lid much.

Puddin’- It’s a medium brown with little bit of gray tone gives matte finish with good color pay off.

Blueberry Swirl- it’s a dark blue with shimmer less pigmented than what it appears in pan.

Peanut Butter- its brown having orange tint. Quite bright excellent color pay off.

Frosting – As name says frosty brown smooth in texture and excellent color pay off.

Rum Raisin- Taupe brown color with good pigmentation. Easily blendable but on drier side.

Mousse – Matte medium brown. Semi- opaque and fairly pigmented but on drier side.

Caramel- Golden brown giving metallic finish color pay off is excellent.

Bon Bon- Copper brown giving metallic finish very good pigmentation and easily bendable. Love this one.

Butter Pecan- Used as highlighter sheen buttery light gold color having good color pay off. I love this color its so pigmented.

Overall recommended and totally impressed you can create brown Smokey eyes dramatic look or simple natural look. The two shades which I really didn’t like are Pink Sugar and Nougat they are almost very sheer. And doesn’t transfer much on lid.

You can have so many different looks from this one palette. And thats why I totally adore this warm toned palette.

NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREAM REVIEW

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend mine was a busy weekend and now I am back to writing about something I have been using a lot this days. Nyx soft matte lip cream are something which you all must have heard about its such a popular product so I thought of reviewing it today. From such amazing shades I got my hand on two shades which are PRAGUE and ANTWERP. The lip shades are pretty attractive and are very reasonably priced.

They come in plastic gloss like tube packaging having a doe foot applicator. The plastic tube is see through which makes it easy to identify shade. This are basically creamy lipsticks which gives matte finish once it dries off.

The texture is very creamy and glides smoothly on lips. Quite pigmented but you need 2 swipes for evening out application. If you want to build this color I would advice first to let it dry and then apply second coat because if you apply immediately it gives streaky application. They don’t feel sticky on lips but once it dries completely it does give that dry feel to lips. They are not moisturizing and I wish they had some hydrating properties. Staying power is for 3-4 hrs they don’t transfer but it almost fades off in few hrs you may have to carry it for touch ups.

They all have sweet pleasant fragrance which is not at all annoying.

Prague is mauve tone lipstick which will suit all skin tones. Its bit dark to carry it in day time but its beautiful purple mauvey shade one can have it.

Antwerp is summer bright coral shade. It’s a pretty shade for girls having fair to medium skin tones. You can use this shade on everyday basis. You may have to build this color if your lips are pigmented as this one is thin in consistency. Antwerp fades out easily then Prague.
This lip creams may feather and can accentuate fine lines on lips. Though I loved the formula the way it applies on lips they just feel soft, feather light giving full opacity.

Overall recommended they are something different in texture than usual liquid or normal matte lipsticks. I am impressed with this creamy formula and loved the fragrance. The only problem with this lip creams is they are bit drying and it can fade out easily. But they are quite reasonable and don't hurt your pocket.

Today I will be reviewing newly launched L’Oreal paris Matte Magique transforming powder. First of all let me tell you all that I was a big fan of L’Oreal Matte Magique soufflé which was later on discontinued. I use to apply it every single day. And now after long time L’Oreal came up with Matte Magique powder which belongs to same range of Matte Magique souffle.

L’Oreal has almost all powder compact range in 1000/- INR but to my surprise this one was just for 399/-INR which was quite reasonable compared to True Match and Infallible powder.

There are 6 shades available in this I got the light one which is N2 nude vanilla its for fair skin having yellow undertone according to Mac shading system this is for NC20-NC25.

What product claims-

The outer packaging is of pink metallic paper box and the product comes in a round transparent plastic case with two compartments . It comes along with the puff and mirror in one of the compartment while other has a powder.

The thing I most loved about this product is that it contains SPF 34pa++

That means it s gonna protect your skin from harmful sun rays. It also clamis to have VOLCANIC PERLITE a natural yet powerful sebum absorbent.

I also have Maybelline dream satin compact but I found L’Oreal shades more suitable to my skin and I liked its packaging too it was very attractive then the Maybelline ones. I am using this powder from almost 15 days and i observed that it was great for my combination skin as it helped to mattify my T zone.

Lets talk about its texture . This particular compact has won my heart the powder glides on so smoothly blends into my skin completely. When I am not using any foundation powder sticks to my skin without giving any dryness and patchy look .

I also loved using this as a setting powder. This compact which can be used on everyday basis by normal to oily skin. I don’t use puff for application most of the time I use a powder brush for smooth even application. After application skin don’t feel cakey or powdery even when you have used them over foundation it completely mattifies the skin. I also use them under my eyes to set concealer as it’s a yellow tone powder. It gives light to medium coverage does not cover dark spots. It claims to 12H Shine free which is not true. I have a oily Tzone and after few hrs of application my forehead and chin started getting oily. But it was not too shiny. It also manages my skin too look pores less and even toned. Its is a sweatproof and waterproof powder so you can use them on sunny days too.

Overall recommended its totally worth the price having good number of shades which can suit Indian skin tone. The packaging makes it look pricey which is a good thing. You can use it everyday as it contains SPF too. There is not much cons about this product except for if your skin is combination to oily it wont keep you Shine free for long time. Still when you do touch up it gives your skin matte effect again.
