Sephora Wonderful Cushion Matte Lip Cream is a matte liquid lipstick with a cushion applicator. Along with cushion matte lip cream they have also launched cushion foundation and cream blushers. From Korean brands to USA cushion foundation is trending crazily this days.

So coming on to the packaging it comes in a baby pink color tube with a round rubbery applicator and black cap I personally loved this girlie sweet packaging feels like I am into 16.

It also reminds me of too faced melted liquid lipsticks. But Wonderful cushion feel more like a matte stain to me. They have got limited shades like fuschia, red and pinks. I picked up Wonderful Rose shade as it was more of muted pink then going for something bright.

Lip stains look better when the shades are dusty or in nude pinks OR peach I wish they had more color options.

Wonderful Rose can go well on fair skin tones but may look little brighter for most of skin tones. Please do try them before buying.

The formula is enriched with shea butter to give a smooth application. You just need to press the tube so the product comes out of the cushion applicator and then just glide across the lips with the applicator. This applicator helps in effortless application without any mess. The pigmentation is good enough so one swipe can give you stain lip look but if you have pigmented lips you may need to add 1-2 layers for complete coverage. The formula is non drying to lips and doesn’t give patchy application. It doesn’t give much hydration to lips but also you don’t need to apply a lip balm. The formula doesn’t adhere to dry patches. It has a high color pay off and gives you a just kissed look which is something new and I haven’t tried before.

It doesn’t flake or bleed nor does it settle into fine lines. Its super light on lips and feels so comfortable wearing them. I could totally wear them for whole day it feels almost like nothing has been put on my lips. The texture is in between lip soufflé and matte cream. It gives a super matte finish which almost stays well for 4-5hrs. I loved the formula texture and packaging. It has a fragrance almost like a fruit candy which disappears on application.

Overall recommended.

The formula doesn’t transfer at all. It’s a kiss proof waterproof formula. The shade options are limited and I don’t find them wearable. But you can definitely try a red shade in this it would be much better for most of the skin tones. Its quite pricey but if you like having a just kissed look wonderful cushion matte is all about that.
