Today I will be reviewing NEW L’oreal Infallible Pro Contour
& Highlight palette.
Contouring and highlighting is still a ongoing trend and
everyone is looking for new products which are easily available at drugstore
price. Also beginner wants to get a pro touch to their contouring and
highlighting skills. Sculpting face has become much easier due to such high quality products available at affordable price.
This palette is recent launch and is available in
two shades MEDIUM and DARK. DARK is for medium to dark skin tones while the
MEDIUM is for fair to light skin tone. I
choose the MEDIUM one. It comes in a black rectangular plastic compact. The
highlighter and contouring are placed in same rectangular pan in the top half
off the compact. When you open the lid you can see mirror on one side and brush
on the other. The brush has a FISH TAIL shaped bristles for defining the cheekbones and
making it easy for application in just one stroke.

This palette is easy to use and now you can have contouring
on the go due to its travel friendly packaging. You have the mirror and brush
inside which makes everything on the go. This palette is best for the beginners
as the powder are super blendable with the instruction given on the back side
of the palette.
Also the brush has the unique shape so when you swipe over
the palette one end picks up the contouring powder the other one highlighter.
Basically they are completely matte powders. They are soft
in texture and easily blendable without making your makeup look heavy. Also it
can be used for everyday purpose. The pigmentation of the product is fair
enough. I wouldn’t say this is the best drugstore palette available but it
quite reasonable when compared to some palettes which can't be carried while
travelling.
THE MEDIUM shade contains light brown powder with warm
tones. And a champagne color highlighter which has a better pigmentation than
the contouring powder. The highlighter doesn’t have and visible shimmer and
looks very subtle adding soft glow to cheeks. I was disappointed by the
contouring powder as it was very less pigmented and I had to put multiple
swipes. Though the shades were just fine for my skin tone. The brush picks up very less product and I didn't find convenient to use. Also I wanted something
which is strongly pigmented and having intense color payoff. The powder doesn’t
flake or fade. Lasting power is for around 5 hrs it stays pretty well. But it
soon starts fading if you are in hot humid climate. Also the product transfer’s.
This powder form contour and highlight can be used by all skin types. It doesn’t
make your skin dry or cakey.
Overall I would recommend to girls who are beginners and
would love to experiment with contour and highlighting also for girls who wants
a palette which is easy to carry in a handbag. I would also recommend this palette for all the mommies like mine who doesn't like to use lot of makeup but still wants to contour and highlight. :))
HOW TO USE
Apply after foundation or alone. Blend well with brush.
