I was absolutely waiting for something really new and exciting to be
launched in makeup and yea it seems like Lakme has done it all. They have
launched their Illuminate and shine range during lakme fashion week. I was super happy to get this limited edition lakme products. Now this entire range has 2 eyeshadow palettes, 3 precision eye artist liner, and 12 beautiful lip shimmer
lipsticks also perfect radiance lightening day/night cream.

Now I know that the most exciting product to me was lip
shimmer lipsticks so today I will be reviewing 3 of them. Well when whole makeup world on is crazily coming up with liquid mattes here lakme comes with something totally different which is a lip shimmer. I would say now this is something you really cant think off. Lets start with its packaging. This come in black cardboard packaging as similar to Lakme absolute sculpt lipsticks. This lipstick has semi opaque black glossy plastic tube. Its a sleek round tube having flat slant tip. I liked the packaging it was simple yet classy. I am the girl who dosen't like shimmer in lipsticks at all it’s a big NO for me. But when I saw the entire range I was keen to try this shades on me. They had really pretty attractive shades. My pick
was TROPICAL SHINE, SUN KISSED SALMON & CRIMSON BLINK.

Every lipstick here has lots of shimmer in it. They are
smooth on application and applies evenly on lips while giving complete coverage in just
one stroke. Highly pigmented creamy lipsticks. They have sheen finish..but the shimmer is quite visible in lighter shades. The shimmer really reflects the light giving that shiny pout. They don't give a finish like gloss. Isn’t it something really different to try this summer I mean not going for usual bold bright matte colors. But yes gals this lipstick give you that change a break through liquid mattes. The most annoying was the shimmer particles that left behind
after removing it with makeup remover. This is what I hate most about any
shimmer lipstick in this world. Now also this lipstick has overpowering fragrance which I guess
it was in enrich satin lipsticks too. This smell stays on for a while which really annoys me. They do transfer while eating and drinking. You need to exfoliate your lips
as you don’t want shimmer to cling on your dry patches. They feel really light
on lips. The texture is soft creamy inspite of shimmer there is no gritty texture.
Formula is quite moisturizing to lips .. they have non
drying formula and doesn't settle into fine lines. They stay on well for 3-4 hrs but usually fades away leaving behind
shimmer especially with the light shades. Darker shades look less shimmery than lighter ones. They do smudge but don’t bleed. This shimmer particles reflect light which help you give shiny pouts. Doesn't accentuate fine lines.
TROPICAL SHIMMER
A very light peach shade having lots of gold silver shimmer. They are more visible in daylight. As name says its a prefect for tropical summer season. This shade can go fair to light skin tones. Well medium to dark tones can defintely have a try on it. I personally didn't like this shade as it appeared more like a golden lipstick. I really don't see myself wearing this on except for wedding parties.
SUN KISSED SALMON its a pale pinkish orange shade this is a color for every skin tone. It contains pink shimmer but doesn't add much sheen to lipstick. I think its one of my favourite shade from this range.
CRIMSON BLINK Its a red lipstick which looks warm red when applied on lips. l could see rose gold shimmers in it. Its a glamour shade. Its intense with shimmery finish. A great red lipstick for brides if tossing on for shimmer.
Overall I would recommend this only if you love shiny pouts. This are great for summer parties or for glamour makeup even bridal can opt for this shades. I don’t prefer this lipsticks for everyday purpose. I really hated this smell and the shimmer particles which did not go off completely even with makeup remover. I am not so obsessing with this shades but it was a nice to try. My recommendations Sun Kissed Salmon. I definitely see myself wearing this shade.
