New Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation Review with Makeup Look

Welcome back to my blog I update my blog every two to three times in a week so keep checking for latest updates on products. Today I m writing about recently launched drugstore foundation that is Maybelline dream satin liquid foundation which is a part of their newly launched Rebel Bouquet collection . I am also including how to get look using Maybelline products which is mentioned below. Previously I wrote reviews on Maybelline dream satin powder, Rebel bouquet lipsticks, Colossal liner and Color Show Go Graffiti. Maybelline dream liquid foundation come in 6 different shades. My shade is in 02 Porcelain which is shade for fair skin having pink tones. The packaging is in slim glass bottle with a pump which i think is good according to hygiene concern. Pump dispenser gives control over the product. So you can avoid wasting your product.

This foundation has thick and creamy consistency rather than liquid. You may require 2-3 pumps for entire face. This foundation has a smooth satin like texture. and when applied on skin it does not feel heavy or cakey.

It just blends into skin like air whipped mousse. It was not difficult to blend it into skin provided your skin is well moisturised. It feels light on skin and can be used on daily basis .

It is medium coverage foundation does not cover blemishes completely. You can build this foundation to give high coverage but i don't recommend as it can make your skin look dry and patchy. Its oil free foundation which is good for oily skin and does not clog pores .

I have used this foundation for almost 8-9 hrs and it’s a pretty long lasting foundation. I had not used primer and at end of the day I could see foundation wearing of near my chin and nose area. I could see streaks of foundation near my corners of lips. Without any touchup it lasts for 5 hrs and I think with primer it can last you for more hrs.

This foundation is in between matte and dewy look giving you more of natural finish. Maybelline claims its super blend-able foundation covering all your pores and imperfections well if you have dry skin it can give you patchy dry look so apply a good moisturiser and primer. It does help you cover your pores but only till some extent.

Its also good for sensitive skin as it does not contain any fragrance and it’s a dermatologically tested.

I just felt that it should have been more thin liquid like so that it would be super blend-able on dry skin too. As its thick it clings on to dry patches of your skin which i didn't like it.

Overall recommended for normal to oily skin this foundation will last you longer and it’s at affordable price than the usual Revlon , L’oreal, Bourjois foundation.

How to create this Look using Drugstore products MAYBELLINE

I have created a look using most of the Maybelline products from Rebel Bouquet Collection. I almost have all products from rebel bouquet collection so thought of doing this dewy glowy kind of summer look. Moreover I was excited to see how this foundation and powder from new range works on me.

I loved the way this look turned out to be I personally think its perfect fresh glowy summer look. My glossy lip color gives a bright vibrant touch to whole look. For girls who don't want to contour and highlight this look can be carried in daytime as well as night time. It will go on almost every skin tone. The products I have used are listed below. Few simple steps to achieve this look.

First of all I sprayed some Mac Fix+ on my face to prep my skin and to give some hydration then i took 2 pumps of Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation and blended on to my face working from center of the face to outwards using SIGMA Flat Kabuki Brush.

I have used my favorite Mac NW20 concealer and set it with Ben nye banana powder.

I filled up my eyebrows using Mac espresso eye shadow using angular brush from Mac and setting it with mac brow set gel.

I applied MAC Painterly Paint Pot on eyelids first as base. I have used Maybelline eye studio eye shadows on eyes for some shimmer and with Maybelline colossal liner it was easy to create a wing liner.

Completed my eye look with several coats of Maybelline Big Eye Falses mascara on upper and lower lashes. I have put Ardell lashes in natural its optional.

For setting up my foundation I used Maybelline dream touch powder.

I wanted my cheeks to glow so I added Dream touch Blush on apple of cheeks using sigma brush or you can even use fingers. I just love this blush it blends into skin like dream. This blush also acts like a highlighter so I did not use any highlighter.

I have not used any bronzer or contouring powders as I wanted to really keep it simple and easy to do.

For lips i used REB 04 from REBEL BOUQUET collection its bright coral glossy color which was perfect for this look.

MAYBELLINE DREAM SATIN TWO WAY CAKE FOUNDATION REVIEW

Hope you all had wonderful weekend . Today I am reviewing Maybelline dream satin two way cake foundation from recently launched Maybelline rebel bouquet collection. I haven’t yet heard any reviews about this product so was eager to write about it.

Maybelline says it’s a must have product for summer. Lets start with its packaging . It comes in a pearl shiny finish compact with mirror on one side and a foundation applicator. I personally don’t like using foundation applicator which comes with the product because they tend to become unhygienic and need to keep clean as powder sticks on it . I just use it during travelling for touch ups. I always like using brushes for such products.

Maybelline claims.

- Provides a non cakey and oil free finish.

- Protects skin from sun with SPF 30+.

- Provides an extremely fit to skin finish that lasts upto 12 hours.

- Is 5X thinner than other powders, thus giving a finish like second skin.

This two way cake foundation comes in 6 shades I have choose the lightest shade among all which is in BO0. All the shades are based on Indian skin tone except they don’t have shade for very dark skin. It has a beautiful texture when applied on face it just blends into skin like magic. Does not give cakey feel to your skin. It does not make your skin dry but I like to use it as a setting powder over my bb cream or foundation. It gives a matte finish. It has medium coverage when applied alone. It does not look patchy at all even when you have dry skin it does not cling to your skin. It buffs into skin evenly when applied with powder brush.
Now I know why its best for summers it has SPF 32+ PA which helps to protect your skin from harmful sun rays and also keeps you oil free throughout day. When you want more coverage you can apply with wet applicator. It will be best for oily skin specially during summers as it wont clog your pores like other foundation and compact. After application it feels so light on skin truly just like my own skin. It lasts for almost 7-8 hrs you may need touch ups.
I am glad that Maybelline launched this product during summer as its must needed. Its reasonably priced as this product will last you long. I loved this products as I have never used any compact which has so thin texture at the same time giving you coverage.

I recommend to everyone who have oily skin this will help to mattify your skin without clogging pores and for girls having dry skin you can use them as your setting powder.

Maybelline Rebel Bouquet Lipstick Review

So My previous post was all about graffiti nail paints from Maybelline spring/summer 2015 collection in this post I will be reviewing Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bouquet lipstick in REB04 REB05

This lipsticks come in same old packaging of Maybelline color sensational matte lipsticks. I love using Maybelline lipsticks as they are one of the reasonably priced quality product so taught of giving this a try. They have launched 6 super pigmented vivacious shades in this range. In UK this collection is known as Rebel Bouquet while in USA its known as Rebel Bloom. The only thing this lipsticks don't have is names I wish that they had given names to lipstick like nail paints as this codes are confusing. You have to open lipstick tube and check which color you want as the cap is opaque and nothing is written on it surely your caps can get exchanged with other lipsticks in the collection.

This lipsticks are very creamy in texture but when applied on lips they turn out to be quite glossy. I am not lover of glossy lipsticks so for me this was like OK and so I end up buying only two.

REB04 this shade is a perfect coral color having pink tones. It will look great on almost all skin tones.

REB05 this is orange shade lipstick. Its bright pigmented and lovely color for spring. Its kind of coral orange that you can wear for sunday brunch or for weekend with your friends.

It glides easily on lips has buttery consistency and should be used without lip balm. This lipsticks are moisturising and don’t dry out after application. It has a honey nectar which gives sumptuous feel. Pigmentation is good but I had to apply 2 swipes on lips to give opacity. They are quite glossy and does not smudge but be careful while applying it can bleed. They don’t feel sticky or slippery like gloss though i noticed bit stickiness of lips after it it was set. They do transfer easily but once it gets set it does not transfer much. Lasting power of this lipstick is for 3-4hrs they do survive meals and drinks. This lipsticks do stain so end of the day you will find your lips stained.

Well I was expecting this lipsticks to be less glossier and they had names.

Overall Still I loved using this lipsticks I would recommend to gals who like using glossy spring colours they are most affording drugstore lipsticks and this shades can go on all skin tone. They also have fuchsia pink and apple red shade in this range too. So go pick your favourite color.
